long? short? it’s a story either way i tell it. so ol’ h-rod sold the kuwahara after picking this lil’ guy up in north hollywood for fifty bucks. yes i said fifty. hillary was trying to get a decent crank set for the kuw and called this guy off craigslist.org that said he was selling his bike whole or for parts. hillary asked if he could get the crankset for fifty and the guy said “you can get the whole kit and kaboodle for fifty.” deal! so hillary set out thinking he was getting a nice used crankset for a decent price and when he got there it was still attached to the bike and in 100% perfect condition. the bike had never been ridden. when hillary offered to take the cranks off the old feller said “no, i’m selling you the whole thing for fifty.” hillary told him it was probably worth more but the guy wasn’t having it. so here we are. a new set of tires and it was good to go. it didn’t even need a tune up. so after a week or so it now has about 100 miles on it and it is by far the most fun bike hillary’s ever ridden.
