skipping stones

so i read a blog today. it was kind of an accident. i generally don’t read blogs, which is why i don’t really care if anyone reads this. i do this for me. it’s fun in a few sort of ways.

this blog i read wasn’t the blog owner’s original content. it was a posting from like a hallmark card or something. one of those trite inspirational little #’s that no one really likes but we all kinda are glad are there because it…the point is that in this inspirational crap the idea was that if you take a chance it’s like throwing a pebble and it lands in the ocean and makes ripples and people see the ripples and take it as inspiration to make and throw there own pebble. it was pretty bad.

so as little biking as dan (dan is my good friend/co-worker/riding buddy) and i did today we covered a lot of ground. dan and i are reading and writing different books but…

dan and i are skipping stones. throwing pebbles is like purposefully limiting yourself. so while he is off to banana republic to get a shirt and tie, i am off to helen’s bicycle shop to get some spandex.

the ride is almost beside the point but since i actually pedaled here you go - it was hella fun and i want to ride all the time. still.

chirp,

hillary
